Welcome to the weekend! Hope you all had an exciting week filled with happiness, lots of walks and many cuddles with your life companions – We certainly did! Our vets enjoyed every minute of treating and helping all our furry friends!

What signs to look our for a dental disease

This little cutie is Coco❤️. She was admitted today at Streatham Hill Vets for a dental after her owners had noticed her gums had become very inflamed at home.

Our amazing vet Kate took some dental x-rays which showed Coco had feline odontoclastic resorptive lesions (FORLS). FORLS are erosive lesions on the surface of the tooth that causes pain, they are a progressive dental problem which means they will not get better without veterinary intervention.

Symptoms of dental disease include:
-Slow to eat, or reluctant to eat
-Difficulty eating example dropping food
-Chewing on one side
-Obvious inflammation
-Foul-smelling breath
-Weight loss
-Pawing or rubbing around the mouth
-Missing or losing teeth
-Discharge from the mouth or excess drooling

Coco recovered really well from her dental and was able to go home this afternoon. We look forward to seeing this cute girl again for her post operative checks🐱.

If you are worried about your pets dental health please call us to book a dental consultation with one of our vets🦷.

Maggie Mae’s Visit

Lucky Maggie Mae visited Briar House Vets for neutering this week and she was a pleasure to have with us for the day. Such a cutie 💕💕

💫 💫 We are very proud to be able to offer the laparoscopic procedure as there are so many benefits💫 💫

These include:
💚 Lower anaesthetic levels required as less painful
💚 Safer surgical procedure
💚 Quicker recovery for your pet as less invasive
💚 Easier recuperation
💚 Your pet can return home sooner

If you would like to book your dog in for this procedure, please call our surgeries Briar House Vets, Streatham Hill Vets or Blackheath Vets – all the staff are happy to talk you through the procedure and can schedule you in 👍👍

Two Cuddly Patients

Lakeview Vets were very lucky today to have among our many gorgeous patients the wonderful Shadow and Teddy.🐱🐶🐭🐹🐰 Both were with us for their routine neutering, we are always ready for cuddles and with the very best care for your pets great and small as you can see ❤️

The lovely feline star Shadow and the gorgeous Teddy (who really lived up to his name) both recovered well and are now back with their respective Mums and Dads. Here they both are with the lovely Melissa having well-deserved cuddles for being so brave xxx We look forward to seeing them soon for their post-op checks ❤️❤️❤️
