This week our team welcomed several adorable visitors who unfortunately all had leg injuries. ๐ข
Thankfully, our experienced Vets were able to help these gorgeous guests and send them home much happier! ๐
Read on to find out how our four-legged friends got onโฆ
๐ถย This is Thor. ๐ถ
He was involved in a road traffic accident at the beginning of December which resulted in a fractured front leg. ๐ข
Gabriella, our orthopaedic specialist vet, managed to repair the fracture and he was recently brought back to Streatham Hill Vets for a check up and redress of the splint bandage.
His fracture is healing nicely and hopefully heโll be back to full strength soon, although the team will miss his cuddles on each recheck! ๐๐๐
How gorgeous is Betsy? ๐ย ๐ถ
Sweet little Betsy came to see the team at Croydon Vets as she had not been putting weight on her back leg since a walk in the park.
Betsy was admitted for some X-Rays, which later revealed that she has a fracture on one of her toes. ๐ข
Our wonderful Vet Mel bandaged her leg and she was discharged with pain medication. She settled really well at home that night and has since returned to the surgery to have her dressing changed.
Hopefully with pain relief and some more well needed rest, adorable Betsy will be back to herself in no time. ๐โจ
Meet sweet little Pixie. ๐ถ
Pixie was rushed to our lovely Vet Francesca at Wimbledon Vets after she was attacked in the park by another dog. ๐ข
Pixie was not comfortable with her front right leg and it was found that the other dog had managed to puncture the skin near her elbow.
Pixie was a very brave girl and allowed us to clean the wound.
She was given some pain medication and antibiotics due to the bacteria that can lurk in dogโs mouths and can cause an infection.๐
Before she went home, the team gave her lots of cuddles to help her feel better! ๐ ๐
This is Willow. ๐ถย Isn’t she adorable? ๐
Lovely Willow sadly had a bit of an accident whilst at Oxleas Woods recently, where she fell off a wall! ๐ฎ
Thankfully, she escaped with just a small wound on her leg, which we were able to stitch up at The Animal Clinic.
We showered her with cuddles before she left for being such a brave girl and then sent her home for some more TLC. ๐ ๐
