Proudly Independent

You may have seen that there has been a lot of corporate activity in the veterinary sector. For example, CVC Capital Partners recently acquired a majority stake in veterinary group Medivet in a deal reportedly worth more than £1 billion. Furthermore, CVS bought Quality Pet Care in August for £20.4m.

We are fiercely proud to be independent, owned by vets who care!

Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to hold summit to address veterinary issues

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)  will be holding a summit meeting this autumn to examine the issues surrounding veterinary workforce shortages and develop solutions.
The meeting follows growing concerns expressed both within the profession and in the national media about the shortage of veterinary surgeons in the UK.
Lizzie Lockett, RCVS CEO, said: “Workforce shortages within the veterinary sector has been a concern for some time, however, in the past few months there has been a ‘perfect storm’ of circumstances, which have come together to exacerbate the problem.

The issues include the ongoing impact of the pandemic, burnout and fatigue within the profession; the UK’s exit from the European Union, which has seen a significant reduction in the number of EU vets joining the Register as well as an associated increase in the need for veterinary certification; and an increase in pet ownership, and therefore demand for veterinary services, over the course of the pandemic.”
At your surgery, we are committed to providing the best care and customer services to our clients.

Although things are easing up following lockdown and the pandemic we ask that all our customers bear with us.

We have policies in place to ensure customer, pet and staff safety.
