Ozzie’s Accident

This handsome chappy is Ozzie and he LOVES life…. there is no keeping him still!
Unfortunately, Ozzie was hit by a car and totally fractured his femur (thigh bone).

Enrico set to work, assisted by nurse Katie, scrubbed in and nurse Sarah on anaesthetic responsibility to fix him.
We had to realign the bones and fix in place with a plate and seven screws which create stability.
Ozzie coped fantastically with his surgery and will be discharged home today for further rest and recuperation.

Rest up Oz and definitely keep away from cars!!!!

Happy News For Sweet Luna

In this time of uncertainty, we’re in need of a little brightness ✨ so we’re glad we have happy news day today!

We get to send beautiful Luna back home for, we’re sure, some much-missed cuddles with her family!

She came over from one of our branch practices at the end of last week feeling so rough, with diarrhoea and sickness. After in house testing it was discovered that she had a protein-losing enteropathy, which means the proteins in her blood were too low.

After a good few days of fluids, TLC, medications, affection, an easy diet and some more fussing on top, she’s much brighter and wagging that tail again! 🥰

She’s been a popular pooch with our team but we’re happy to see her heading home!

Inquisitive Little Fidget

Meet Fidget. This lovely pooch let its inquisitive nature get itself into trouble. 😥

While on a walk this fishing contraption decided to lodge itself in Fidget’s nose. 🎣 Luckily the owner called us immediately and we advised to come straight down.

After a quick sedation we managed to remove the fishing hook. 😍 An hour later Fidget was up and about and giving us all lots of cuddles! 💜💙
