Life-saving Surgeries and Other Vet Stories Of The Week

Date: 02 Sep 2019
By: admin
As the first week of September is coming to an end, we hope you had an amazing Bank Holiday Weekend and enjoyed the colder weather with your four-legged best friends! Our surgeries were open once again to provide love and care to all the pet patients that visited us!

Hunny’s Life-saving Surgery

Here is the lovely Hunny with our vet Margit, giving us her best smile after recovering from life-saving surgery!
Hunny came into the Animal Clinic 2 weeks ago with loss of appetite, lethargy and increased drinking. As Hunny was unspayed our vet Margit was immediately suspicious that this could be a case of pyometra, which is an infected womb.
An ultrasound and blood test confirmed Margit’s suspicion that Hunny needed immediate emergency surgery. She performed the surgery to remove the puss filled womb in the same afternoon and we are pleased to report Hunny has since made a full recovery and is completely back to normal. If you would like to discuss the benefits of spaying with us, please call our surgeries.

Coco Says Yes To Microchips

This beautiful kitty is Coco. Coco came to Streatham Hill Vets today for a microchip, Microchips can help us be reunited with our furry friend’s if they go missing. Placing a microchip is a simple procedure that can be done during a consultation with one our fabulous vets.

TOP TIP: Remember if you move house or if you change your contact details, you need to update your pet’s microchip details. You can do this online via the chip provider’s website or by giving them a call. If you would like to book your pet in to get a microchip please give us a call.

Rua and A Sneaky Bone

Poor little Rua came into Croydon Vets as an emergency with a bone stuck in the roof of her mouth!

Our vet Mel acted quickly and it was removed successfully! Rua has had a pain injection that will last 24hours and of course, plenty of love and cuddles to make her feel better! We will see her in a few days to make sure she’s doing well.

Callie’s Journey

Look at that beautiful face!!!
We have been so lucky to have been part of Callie’s journey, since she was rescued by Cinque Ports Rescue.
She came to see Lakeview Vets for another post-op check and amazingly another grass seed removal in total she has had hundreds removed, bless her!
She has been such a star  with a wag in her tail and lots of kisses for us whenever we have seen her for procedures.
At present she has a few more hurdles ahead of her before she can be rehomed but we are sure she will take it all in her stride, she’s amazing!!! Xxxx
