Latest Covid-19 Update

Are you worried about your pet’s vaccinations being out of date? What about neutering? Can I groom my pet at this time?

For those of you who missed our latest update, click here to find out how our services changed since the recent announcements from the Government.

Your Guide To Pet Services

💚 Worried about getting your pet groomed?
💚 Considering getting a puppy but not sure of the rules?
💚 Wondering if you can start puppy training soon?

We have summarised some of the pet guidelines here for you!

Graduation Day

Congratulations to our wonderful nurse Ellen, who recently qualified and was due to graduate today. As the ceremony was postponed, we decided to have a mini graduation in the surgery for her 😊.
Well done Ellen! 💫

Isabella Feeling Poorly

Lots of TLC and cooling down when the sun got the better of poor Isabella☀️

Isabella was brought in to our Mayow Veterinary Surgery as an emergency when her owner was concerned that she was struggling to breathe. She was presented to us with increased effort when breathing and her tongue had turned purple.

Isabella was immediately placed on oxygen to help with her breathing. Our amazing vet Jenny carried out a thorough examination and took Isabella’s temperature which was extremely high. It was important at this stage to get her temperature down, this was done by using cool damp towels and fluids.🤒

Once Isabella’s temperature came down, she soon made a speedy recovery and was back to her normal self and wanting lots of cuddles with our nurse Sian. What a difference she looked!🥰

Poor Isabella suffered from heatstroke! She is now at home being closely monitored by her owners. Big hugs little lady❤️

Archie’s Surgery

This handsome chappie is Archie 😍

We’ve had him with us at Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery over the past couple of days as, unfortunately, little Archie needed surgery on his leg! 🦴

Archie had a ruptured ligament in his stifle (knee), which was causing him a lot of pain and discomfort 💔

Our lead surgeon, Gabriella, performed the complex surgery, known as a Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy, or TPLO, to fix his leg. As you can see from his x-rays, she had to rotate the top part of the bone a lot, and secure it in place with a special plate to make him better!

🐾 He’ll have a strict program of rest and post-operative care to go home with but hopefully we’ll see him back in a couple of months’ time and be able to give him the all-clear!🤞

Rest up, Archie! 🐶

Meet Gorgeous Marley

Marley had to visit our Croydon Veterinary Surgery as his owner had noticed that he was struggling to pass urine 😞

He came to visit our amazing vet Mark 🩺 who diagnosed him with a blocked bladder. In a male cat, this is an emergency and requires surgical intervention as soon as possible 🏥

Mark was able to unblock Marley successfully. 😀 Marley will now require a special diet 🍲 for the rest of his life to ensure he doesn’t block again.

Marley was a superstar ⭐️ patient and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Puppy Eyes

The gorgeous Lola giving us her best puppy dog eyes! It was lovely to meet you little Lola ❤️🐶
