This week was very busy for our surgeries but our vets were available to help all your amazing pets and to provide gold level vet care! We had many interesting cases but the one that drew our attention is the lump removal from sweet Bonnie (one of our cutest Golden oldies)!
’Our brave Bonnie’ 🐶 💪🐶👍🐶💪🐶👍🐶
Trooper Bonnie showed us how it’s done with an amazing resilience to major surgery at the grand old age of 12!
Bonnie had a lump on her side for some time but was causing her no bother. However, after being this small size for some time, it unexpectedly grew at a very fast rate and started to hinder her mobility and quality of life so to surgery she went…..
The lump was removed and weighed at the end of surgery. It weighed a whopping 2.2kg!
Bonnie was hospitalised for the night following surgery so we could keep her on a high level of pain relief and she was then discharged the following day to the expert and super attentive care of her owners.
Much to nurse Katie’s joy, she got to see Bonnie for her post op check on Sunday and didn’t she look well!!
This little cutie is Hecate, posing with our student nurse, Shalom! 😍
She came in to have her ears flushed, as they were causing her lots of discomfort! Luckily our fab vet, Kate, was able to clean them all out for her so she’ll hopefully be much happier from now on!
She’s also had a little pedicure while she was with us! Doing this when they’re under anaesthetic is much nicer for those little ones who don’t like having their nails clipped!
This is Gacek, a beautiful Siamese cat who came to us for having vomiting and diarrhoea for a long time.
We performed an ultrasound which revealed he has one large and one small kidney, but also has some large lymph nodes, or glands, around his abdomen near his intestines, or gut.
Our vet Viraf has taken some samples of all of these so that we can tailor a treatment to his condition. Stay tuned on our Facebook page for updates on Gacek’s condition.
This pretty feline is Marge, who stayed with us to have some dental treatment ❤️
Brave Marge had two teeth extracted as well as having her teeth descaled and polished, whilst under a general anaesthetic.
We are pleased to report that Marge recovered very well from her procedure and we look forward to seeing her again very soon for her check up 😻
Beautiful Cali came in for her spay procedure! We couldn’t ask for a more well behaved patient. Cali had a fantastic surgery which went extremely smoothly and we look forward to see her back in a few days time for a post Op check.
Spaying helps to prevent infections in the uterus and mammary tumours developing. It helps prevent a lot of other problems in their life as well.
We are always here for you and your family member and if you are new to owning a dog or have any questions about spaying or neutering. Please give our surgeries a call and our amazing team will be happy to help you!
